As Governor Tom Wolf exits office, he’ll leave with the most pardons ever issued for a Pennsylvania governor.
Wolf issued 369 pardons last week, the final round of his two terms. That brings the grand total to 2,540. The previous record was by Governor Ed Rendell at 1,122.
Wolf says more than a quarter of his pardons have been for non-violent marijuana offenders.
He also believes his office has streamlined the pardon process.
