The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency has announced grant funding is available to help reduce firearm suicides.
The PCCD has made $1 million in funding available to “support innovative strategies that help communities prevent, respond to, and recover from firearm-related suicides across Pennsylvania.”
Local projects can be awarded as much as $150,000 for localized efforts. Local government, nonprofit organizations, and Institutions of higher education are all welcomed to apply for the grant funding.
A required webinar is happening on July 21 for interested applicants and the deadline to apply is September 2, with awards being announced in December.
