The Butler County public defender’s office is anticipating a grant that will help expand their services.
The $95,000 grant will go toward a couple of new initiatives for the office. Officials say they plan on purchasing a case management software.
They also hope to contract with a case worker and an attorney to help cover some services and hearings that can take up time for attorneys in the public defender’s office.
The grant would be through the state and it requires the money go toward new spending.
