As students across the Butler Area School District return to classes today, the American Lung Association is reminding families about the importance of healthy lungs.
One area of lung health the association is spotlighting is asthma which is a leading cause of missed school days. The association has a free online course for school personnel who administer medications.
Other areas of focus include tobacco use by high school students especially with e-cigarettes, improving indoor air quality, and healthy habits to prevent the spread of infectious respiratory diseases.
