Grove City College is preparing for the upcoming solar eclipse by hosting a viewing event for the public.
The college’s physics department will provide free eclipse viewing glasses and light-filtering telescopes to get a better look at the solar eclipse on April 8th.
Grove City professors believe that the sun will be approximately 99 percent obscured by the moon as seen in Grove City.
The event will begin at 2 p.m. and run until 4:30 p.m. It’s believed that the total solar eclipse will reach maximum obscuration around 3:15 p.m.
