Grove City College has received the largest gift in the school’s history.
The estate of David Rathburn has given the college a $70 million donation.
Rathbrun was a 1979 graduate from the school and former Board of Trustee member who had a successful entrepreneur career before his passing in 2024.
75 percent of the donation will go toward financial aid for merit-based scholarships for students. While the remaining amount can be spent on capital improvement projects.
This donation is a part of the Impact 150: The Anniversary Campaign for Grove City College which is being done in preparation of the school to celebrate it’s 150 year in 2026.
