A Grove City man died in a crash Monday in Mercer County after his truck hit a deer.
The accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on Route 173 in Wolf Creek Township.
State police say 48-year-old Sean Wike was driving north when he hit a deer with the front of his pickup truck. The deer then went through the windshield and hit Wike in the head.
The impact was so intense that the deer then flew through the rear window and went into a ditch.
Wike’s car went off the road and into a field. The Mercer County coroner pronounced Wike dead at the scene.
