Grove City Police are asking local residents to be aware of a scammer claiming to be an officer with the department.
Some residents have reported that a person identifying themselves as Lieutenant Baker of the Grove City Police is using the department’s phone number to claim that the person being called has a subpoena for arrest.
This is a scam. Do not cooperate with this person.
Grove City Police emphasize that anyone who calls and claims to be law enforcement while requesting money over the phone or online is not legitimate.
