A 35th gun has been discovered at Pittsburgh International Airport.
A Natrona Heights man was stopped for having a loaded .38 caliber handgun. This now ties a six year high for guns discovered at the airport.
TSA officials say if you “bring a gun to our checkpoint and you will face a stiff federal financial civil penalty that could cost you thousands of dollars.”
Federal penalties for bringing weapons into the airport can run as high as $15,000 depending on circumstances.
Passengers are allowed to travel with a gun if they are unloaded, packed in a hard sided locked case, and taken to the airline check in counter.
