The Harmony Museum is holding an art exhibition as well as a fabric demonstration event this weekend.
The Harmony Museum is hosting The Art of Harmony exhibit Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at the Museum’s Stewart Hall on Mercer Street. More than 50 pieces of art, including some from the Harmony Museum collection, will be free to view and many will be available for sale. The exhibit will continue to be able to be viewed Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through the end of this month.
Also Saturday, the Weavers of Harmony are offering a program on spinning wheels from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Weaver’s Cabin. Weavers in historic costumes will talk about the history, origin, and purpose of each wheel. A demonstration of a restored antique sock knitting machine is also planned. This event is free to the public.
