Harry M. Jackson, 92, of Butler, passed away, Monday, March 1, 2021, at the Sunnyview Home.
Born June 5, 1928 in Butler, he was a son of the late Ralph N. Jackson and Ellen Margaret (Miller) Jackson. Harry had lived in the City of Butler since 2003, prior to that he lived on McGrady Hollow Road in Clearfield Township for over 20 years.
Harry retired from the Marmon Keystone Pipe Co. East Butler yard in 1993, following 37 years. He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, the American Legion #117, the Happy Hunters Club, the V.F.W. #249 and the East Butler Fireman’s Club. He enjoyed playing in bowling leagues and golf leagues.
He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps, also the United States Air Force.
Surviving is his wife, Cecelia P. (Morrison) Jackson, whom he married October 25, 1950, at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Carbon Center.
1 son, Ralph N. (Lucinda) Jackson of Honey Brook, PA.
1 daughter, Karen M. Geibel of Butler.
2 grandchildren: Jeffrey (Shirley) Geibel and Donald Geibel, both of Butler.
1 great grandson, Logan Geibel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Ralph Levere Jackson and Gene L. Jackson.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 11:00 am, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North McKean Street, Butler. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
