Hazel Marie Warheit, 87, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 5, 1935 in Cabot, Pennsylvania to the late Lynn Geist and the late Alberta Voland Geist.
Hazel worked as a day worker and housekeeper working for various residents and businesses in the Butler Area. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Hazel was a member of First English Lutheran Church..
She is survived one daughter, Suzanne Hulton and her companion Tim Niggel of Slippery Rock, PA; two sons, Richard Warheit and his wife Sue of Butler, PA, and Eric Warheit and his wife Christine of Butler, PA; four grandchildren, Dhyana Keefer, Elizabeth Uhlig and her husband Josh, David Keefer and his companion Leah Semler, and Brian Warheit and his wife Katie; three great grandchildren, Khloe Keefer, Brooke Warheit, and Connor Warheit; one brother, George Geist and his wife Margie of Cabot, PA.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Richard Carl Warheit, whom she married on August 24, 1957 and who passed away of March 30, 1968; one daughter, Dianne Keefer, two sisters, one brother, and one son-in-law, William M. Hulton, Jr.
Friends will be received Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 12:00 (noon) – 4:00 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. Funeral service will follow immediately at 4:00 pm with Pastor Kimberly van Driel, officiating.
Private burial will take place in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
