Butler Township has rescheduled the public hearing for a local convenience store hoping to sell beer and wine at one of its stores.
The hearing for the Hansen Avenue Speedway gas station and convenience store had originally been set for April 20th at 7 p.m. at the Butler Township Municipal Building. It will now take place May 18th.
At this point, it is not known if the hearing will be in a traditional public meeting format or made available to the public only through broadcast on WBUT 1050 AM as was the case with the meeting Monday night.
The move would still have to be approved by the state Liquor Control Board. Butler Township currently has 29 active liquor licenses within the municipality.
