A pair of hearings are set for tomorrow that will discuss a proposed rate hike by Peoples Gas.
The Pennsylvania Utility Commission is currently evaluating the proposed increases for both natural gas and regular gas customers.
Natural gas customers would see their average bill go up by about 20 percent. Gas customers would see a seven percent increase.
In-person hearings will be held Wednesday at Butler County Community College inside Founder’s Hall. Two sessions are set for 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
There will also be a phone hearing on Thursday, again at 1 and 6 p.m.
The PUC says the increase in rates would lead to a $156 million bump in annual revenue by Peoples.
