After being approved for funding over two years ago, a local project is set to get underway.
Butler Township officials were recently notified that the Karns Crossing Bridge Replacement Project will begin early next month.
A contractor of PennDOT will begin to undertake reconstruction and upgrades of Route 68 between Butler Memorial Hospital and the Route 422 interchange in Summit Township. This project will result in the long-term closure of Delwood Road between Route 68 and East Brady Street through 2026. A temporary single lane road will be constructed.
This bridge replacement project is expected to be completed by the summer of 2028.
