At least one person has been seriously injured as a result of a motorcycle accident in southern Butler County Monday afternoon.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center shortly before 3 p.m. for a crash involving a motorcycle on Prospect Road on the S-bend below the gas plant.
Crews from Harmony District and Evans City were among those responding to find a male on the road with arm and head injuries.
A STAT MedEvac helicopter was called to land in a nearby farm field in order to transport at least one person for additional medical treatment. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time but a portion of Prospect Road did need to be closed for some time.
