Henry O. Ziegler, age 82, of Zelienople, passed away on Saturday March 9, 2019 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh after a brief illness.
Born September 20, 1936 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Henry O and Ina A. Lutz Ziegler.
He was of the Protestant Faith.
Henry started his career delivering newspapers and later owning the Newstand in Zelienople. During this time he attended Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and became a Funeral Director. He became a 5th generation funeral director helping his father in the Ziegler Funeral Home. He later closed the family funeral home and devoted his time to the Newstand.
He was a member of Butler Co. Funeral Directors Association and was a former member of the Zelienople Business Association.
Henry enjoyed attending the Zelienople Council Meetings.
Henry is survived by two brothers, James (Joyce) Ziegler of Prospect and John (Patricia) Ziegler of Middle Lancaster. Seven nieces and nephews, Jim, Jeff, and Joe Ziegler, Janet Kniess, Dawnita Sauer, Melanie Newlon and Michelle Scarrow, also 7 Grand nieces and nephews and 8 grand- grand nieces and nephews.
The Family of Henry O. Ziegler will receive friends and relatives Monday from 7-9 P.M. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople, PA. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. from the funeral home.
