Baseball:
–Slippery Rock-9 Sharon-8. The Rockets erased a 7-0 deficit with Jacob Kunsman driving in the two winning runs with a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning, capping a four-run rally. Isaac McCandless earned the victory with four relief innings. Slippery Rock is now 4-1 and will host Grove City Saturday at 11am at Slippery Rock University’s Jack Critchfield Park.

Softball:
–Seneca Valley-2 Hempfield-0. Lexie Hames tossed a no-hitter for the Raiders, striking out 18. Seneca Valley improved to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in section play. Hempfield entered the game averaging more than seven runs per game.

Track and Field:
–The Butler boys track and field team defeated section rival North Allegheny 87-63. Drew Griffith and Landon Lacey won multiple individual events to lead the Golden Tornado and Butler won three relay events. Griffith captured first place in the 800, 1600 and 3200 meter runs. Lacey won the 100 and 200 meter runs. Next up for Butler is the Tri-State Invitational this weekend.
