High School Sports:
Baseball:
–Knoch defeated Indiana 14-1 in five innings to improve to 11-1 overall. The Knights had 12 hits in the victory, paced by Andy Pipes, who had four RBI’s. Lance Cotton pitched three scoreless innings, allowing two hits. Blaze Voltz pitched the final two innings in his first varsity appearance for Knoch.
–Karns City-8 Clarion-2. Cameron Blair doubled twice and drove in three runs to lead the Gremlins.
–Moniteau won two games Monday in separate locations. Defeating Forest Area 18-2 in three innings led by Jared Lominski, Andrew Dulya and Hunter Fitzingo who combined to drive in 11 runs. The Warriors then defeated North Clarion 10-0. Nick Sosigian tossed a three-hit shutout, striking out nine. Jake Jewart went a perfect six-for-six in the doubleheader.
–Mars defeated North Hills 9-0. Will Bednar tossed a three-hitter and struck out 15 for the Planets. The win improved Mars to 8-5 overall, and 6-3 in section-play. North Hills fell to 13-3, 9-2.
–Clarion-Limestone swept a doubleheader from AC Valley 8-4 and 12-6.

–Shaler-1 Seneca Valley-0.
–Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic-13 Laurel-7.
–Pine-Richland-7 North Allegheny-4.
–Butler JV lost to Central Catholic 9-3. Andrew Arbanas, Kyle Weitzel and Bryan Presco had two hits each for Butler.
Softball:
–Knoch-4 Butler-1.
–AC Valley swept two games from Clarion-Limestone by scores of 12-9 and 11-9. Emily Wetzel went 7-fo-9 for the Falcons in the doubleheader.
–Moniteau defeated Forest Area 13-0 in five innings. Courtney Stewart allowed just one hit and struck out five.
–Karns City-9 Clarion-2. Kate Allen and Alyssa Stitt combined for six hits and scored five runs for the Gremlins.
Boys Lacrosse:
–Freeport defeated Plum 13-10 and have improved to 9-4 overall. Garrett Schauffhauser led the Yellow Jackets with five goals. Greg Smith made 13 saves.
Girls Lacrosse:
–Latrobe-16 Freeport-4.
