The Butler high school boys track and field team defeated Norwin, Franklin Regional and Connellsville in the WPIAL playoffs and have advanced into the championship meet next Tuesday. The defending WPIAL champions were led by dual winners Luke Campbell and Drew Griffith. Campbell won the Long Jump and Triple Jump. Griffith swept the Mile and Two-Mile runs. Landon Lacey won the 100-meter sprint race. Drew “Bert” Knight won the 800-meter run. In the field: Markeis Frazier won the Shot Put. Bryce Dryden won the Javelin.
Baseball:
–Clarion-Limestone-1 Moniteau-0 in nine innings. Brock Matthews of the Warriors was the tough-luck losing pitcher. He allowed just one run over 8-1/3rd innings, striking out seven and walking just one.

Softball:
