Track and Field:
–The Butler girls defeated North Allegheny 85-65 last night at the Butler stadium. With the victory, Butler improved to 5-0 in WPIAL Triple-A Section-3. The Golden Tornado were led by four first-place finishes: Liz Simms won the 400 and 800-meter runs, and was part of the winning 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams. Jena Reinheimer continued her dominance in the throws, with victories in the discus and shot put. Freshman Chesna Tomko won the 300-meter hurdels as well as running on the 4×400 and 4×800 relay teams. Freshman Lucy Link won the triple jump and Alison Altman won the high jump. The girls will compete in the Indiana Invitational tomorrow.

The Butler boys track and field team lost to N.A., and fell to 4-1 overall.

–Knoch-9 Yough-4. Jake Herrit allowed two hits and struck out six over four innings. Herrit also added a triple and two RBI’s. The Knights travel to Greensburg Salem today.

–Karns City-17 Moniteau-3. (5-innings). Alyssa Stitt and Logan Byers each drove in four runs for the Gremlins.
–Redbank Valley-13 AC Valley-10. Redbank Valley hit a walk-off grand slam home run in the seventh inning to win the game.
