High School Sports:
Butler junior basketball stand-out Ethan Morton is one of four players from across the United States to be picked to play for the United States Federal International Basketball Association (FIBA) World Cup three-on-three tour. The opening tournament games will be played in Mongolia.
Baseball:
–Knoch-9 Greensburg Salem-6. Ethan Sloane led the Knights with three hits, three runs and two RBI’s. Guy DeLeonardis added two hits and two RBI’s. Braden Tristani had two hits. Knoch improved to 8-2.
–Freeport-9 South Allegheny-3.
–Mars-7 Moon-2.
–Butler-10 Hopewell-9.
–Butler JV lost to Hopewell 17-7. Colin Patterson, Clay Collins and Kyle Yost had two hits each for Butler.
–AC Valley split a doubleheader. The Falcons defeated Union 6-2, but lost to Keystone 4-2.
–Grove City-2 Oil City-0.
Softball:
–AC Valley-15 Moniteau-5 in five innings. The Falcons pounded 19 hits in the game. All 10 AC Valley players had at least a hit, a run scored or had an RBI. AC Valley is now 6-0.
–Norwin-2 Seneca Valley-1.
–Gateway-15 Mars-0 in three innings.
–Knoch-10 New Castle-0.
–Deer Lakes-7 Freeport-4.
