Girls Basketball:
–North Catholic-93 Burrell-40. Five North Catholic players were in double figures, led by Dani Short with 20. Short and teammate Tess Myers both went over 1,000 career points in the game. Myers had 14 points last night. North Catholic is now 18-2 overall. 13-0 in section play.
–North Allegheny defeated Butler 60-22.
–Seneca Valley defeated Fox Chapel 56-42.
–Mars topped Armstrong 49-41 in overtime. Tai Johnson led the Planets with 20.
–Freeport-44 Knoch-32. Sidney Shemanski had 18 points to lead the Yellow Jackets.
–Moniteau-48 Union-38.
Bowling:
–Freeport split with Kiski Area. The Freeport Girls won 7-0. Amber Cepec led the Yellow Jackets with a 540 series, including a high game of 217. The Kiski Boys defeated Freeport 5-2. Mark Livingston led Freeport with a 612 series and high game of 232. Blake Olson added a 595 series and high game of 248.
–The Shaler Bowlers swept Mars 7-0.
–Butler rolled a section “bye” match Monday – with Lauren Bash leading the Golden Tornado Girls with a 616 series and games of 230 and 220. Reegan Malis had a 614 series with games of 212 and 207. The Butler Boys were led by Jordan Reges who rolled a 655 series.
Hockey:
–Butler lost to Canon-McMillan 5-3.
–Central Catholic defeated Seneca Valley 3-2 in overtime.
–Burrell-11 Knoch-2.
Rifle:
–Butler defeated Plum 798-791 Top shooters for Butler were: Andrew Arbanas, Riley Rodgers, Alec Stamm, Kayla Kopelic, Cody Stoup and Max Wertz, all with 100’s.
