The WPIAL has announced new high school football conferences for 2018. The lone 6A conference will feature nine teams, including Butler and Seneca Valley. Mars will be in Conference 3 in 5A and are among eight teams.
Knoch is in Conference 1 in 4A. Freeport and Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic will play in Conference 2 in 3A. Playoff formats have yet to be determined.
