Butler Township is moving ahead with a storm water project planned for later this summer.
During their meeting Monday night, the Butler Township Commissioners awarded Phase Three of the Highfield Road Storm Water Project to Bauer Excavating, Inc.
The Butler-based company submitted the lowest of four bids received by Gateway Engineers at just over $93,000. Two underground vaults at the intersection with Ferguson Road will be replaced with a catch basin and pipe system.
This work is expected to begin in a couple weeks and be completed within 45 days. At least one lane is expected to remain open throughout the project to accommodate motorists.
