A hiker who was separated from his family while hiking along the Slippery Rock Creek over the weekend has been found safe.
Authorities were called to the area of Kennedy Mills Bridge in Lawrence County around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to our news partners at WPXI-TV.
A woman in the group called 911 after she could not locate a man she was hiking with.
Officials said the riverbank in that area is particularly dangerous, and the recent heavy rains created an even larger risk.
Crews, who used search dogs and other equipment, located the hiker a short time later.
