A Hillards woman has been found guilty of shooting and killing a man last year in Venango Township.
20-year-old Jessica Callahan was found guilty of third degree murder in a Butler County Courtroom yesterday.
It happened in March 2023, when police say an argument broke out between Callahan and 31-year-old Tyler Whitlatch at a home on Kohlmeyer Road.
Following the argument, prosecutors say Whitlatch left the house and was shot in the back by Callahan. She then started to drive him to Butler Memorial Hospital, but then called 911 at the North Washington Rodeo grounds.
Callahan will be sentenced on August 16th.
