Local residents looking to get into the holiday spirit who are also interested in local history are invited to an event scheduled for later this week in downtown Butler.
Friday at 6 and 7 p.m., the Butler County Historical Society will host Christmas tours of the Senator Walter Lowrie House on West Diamond Street.
Visitors will be able to learn about the Sullivan family and holiday traditions of the Victorian era.
