It’s now just days away from Easter, which is also known as Holy Week.
The week precedes Easter Sunday, and begins to ramp up starting tomorrow with Holy or Maundy Thursday which is believed to be the day when Jesus celebrated his final Passover with his disciples.
Good Friday then marks the crucifixion of Jesus, when a number of churches across the area will hold services.
Services are then set for Holy Saturday, including Easter Vigil mass. In Pittsburgh, Bishop David Zubik will preside over the vigil at St. Paul’s Cathedral that night at 8:30 p.m.
Holy Week culminates with Easter Sunday mass.
