Homer M. Tack, Jr., 75, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 21, 2022, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 14, 1946, in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Homer M. Tack Sr. and the late Eleanora Garing Tack.
Homer graduated from Butler Area High School in 1964. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Homer was self-employed and worked for Homer M. Tack Excavating Company. He also worked as an Inspector for Gibson Thomas Engineering Co. out of Latrobe, PA retiring in 2013. Homer was a Veteran of the US Navy serving during Vietnam on the USS Power DD 839. He was a member of the V.V.A. and the D.A.V. Homer enjoyed hunting and being with his grandchildren.
Homer is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Coroian and her husband, William Brian of Chicora, PA; two grandchildren, Chandler Tack, and Richard Greygor, III; one brother, Newton Tack and his wife, Mary Ellen of Butler, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dianna Tack, who he married on June 7, 1968, and who passed away on February 7, 2019; two brothers, David Tack, and John Tack; one sister, Eleanor Tack; and his in-laws, Perle and Nellie Powell.
Friends will be received Monday, January 24, 2022, 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Rev. Dennis R. Hindman, Sr., officiating.
Burial will take place in the Hempfield Cemetery.
