The public is invited to learn more about the problem of human trafficking in our local community through a couple of free upcoming events.
Human trafficking awareness events are planned for tonight (Tuesday) at 7 p.m. at the Butler Intermediate High School as well as tomorrow (Wednesday) at 6:30 p.m. at Seneca Valley Intermediate High School.
President and CEO of the Million Kids organization Opal Singleton will be the guest speaker at these events.
“It is happening all around the world, but it’s also happening all over America,” Singleton said. “It’s not just the bigger cities, but because of social media, it’s happening in small-town America all across the nation, once you understand the dynamics of how all this works.”
Additional information about this issue and these gatherings can be found in an episode of Armstrong’s In the Loop podcast recorded on October 7th.
