An internet update could prevent some hunters from purchasing licenses online.
The first day of 2018-19 hunting license sales is Monday, June 18 but an internet security update planned for the same day could affect all purchasing websites especially for users of older model computers.
Most newer computers will not be affected but users may have to install updated versions of operating systems and web browsers. Tests are available online to determine if systems are compatible with the update.
Licenses become valid July 1 and after that date, everyone who wants to hunt, trap, or apply for an antlerless deer license will need a current 2018-19 license to do so.
