Cranberry Township Police say they have not been in contact with Federal Immigration Agents as rumors about raids continue in Cranberry Township.
Police did confirm they have received several calls about Immigration officers in Cranberry, but they have not been in direct contact with ICE officials for alleged raids at restaurants or apartment complexes.
Federal officials do not need to inform local law enforcement about raids, but do need to provide documentation if anyone is going to be charged or housed in the Butler County Prison.
According to jail officials, no one has been brought in to the prison in the last two weeks via ICE agents. The Cranberry district court also cannot confirm if the raids happened.
Our newsroom has reached out to ICE officials for comment but have not heard back.
