Independence Health System will hold a blood drive this week.
The event is planned for Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Butler Memorial Hospital Nixon Sarver Classroom near the Tower entrance.
The drive is in partnership with Community Blood Bank. Those who are interested in donating, can register online or by calling 1-877-842-0631.
Hospital officials say walk-ins are welcome, but they do encourage making an appointment.
The donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh over 110 pounds, have no tattoos or piercings in the last three months, and be in good health. A photo ID is required.
