State Police are continuing to investigate the deaths of three people in neighboring Clarion County.
According to police, troopers began investigating the disappearance of 21-year-old Clarion University student James Whitman of Florida Saturday afternoon.
That investigation led officers to the Toby Creek area in Paint Township where a vehicle was found over a hillside from Bigley Road. That vehicle contained the bodies of 78-year-old Samuel Paine and 80-year-old Lucille Paine both of Strattanville.
A short time later, the body of Whitman was discovered 100 feet above the crashed vehicle on Bigley Road. Police have not stated if the deaths are connected and additional details about the deaths are unknown at this time.
