A guy who has spent a lot of time on the golf course finally reached the sport’s pinnacle.
Jack Fleishner lives about a mile away from the Suncrest Golf Course in Penn Township. He’s worked at Suncrest Golf & Grille for the past 30 years. This past Wednesday, July 3, he got his first hole-in-one.
“Everybody told me… ‘It looked like it went in,” Fleishner told Butler Radio. “I didn’t believe them. But I looked, and there it was.”
Suncrest Golf and the Conley Resort & Golf Club are two courses where residents of St. Barnabas Health System communities can golf for free. A lot of the St. Barnabas residents know Jack well, and were excited to see him get a hole in one.
“He’s been working at Suncrest for so long and this is his first hole-in-one,” St. Barnabas Marketing Director Jim Lauteri said. “This has to be pretty exciting for him.”
St. Barnabas has a “Play 36 Hole-In-One Club” at both courses. Anyone who achieves one gets their name placed on a digital billboard and in display boxes at both courses for a special honor.
