A university in the state system is looking to reverse declining enrollment numbers by dropping the price of tuition.
The IUP (Indiana University of Pennsylvania) council of trustees will be examining a plan that would decrease tuition for undergrads by 20 percent—working out to $7,700 per semester.
The university says money from their reserve funds and the American Rescue Plan would offset the losses initially. After that, university officials believe that enrollment would rise and offset any potential losses.
