The IUP baseball team remained alive at the Division II College World Series by defeating defending national champion Angelo State 10-8. It was the third straight win for the Crimson Hawks since losing their opening game of the tournament. They meet Angelo State again today in the double-elimination tournament at 1:30pm. The winner of that game will advance to the national championship final.
#2-seed entering the tournament Tampa — eliminated Catawba with a 7-2 victory Thursday. They will meet the winner of the IUP-Angelo State game Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm. Tampa has not lost in the tournament, and would have to be beaten twice for the national championship Saturday.
