Jacqueline E. “Jackie” , “Grandma Jack”, Johnson, 86, of Butler, PA, passed away on March 31, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Jackie was born in Butler on February 16, 1939, to the late Rodger and Geraldine (Carnahan) Wampler.
Jackie was a 1957 graduate of Butler High School, and made her career as a nursing assistant with the Butler VA Hospital. She enjoyed the water; be it the ocean or fishing for clams in her bare feet in the river. Jackie was infatuated with jewelry and collected gems from around the world. She also enjoyed reading. More than anything, Jackie loved being with her family; especially at Christmas Eve.
She is survived by her sons, Jerry (Lisa) Johnson, Chuck (Paula) Johnson, and Scott (Angie) Johnson; her daughter, Robin Johnson; eleven grandchildren, Kristen (Nick) Leslie, Lacey (Jason) Weslager, Sammy (Stormie) Baird, Joelle (Tyler) Grossman, Brandon Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Gage Johnson, Gehrig Johnson, Cody Johnson, Dalton Johnson (Emma Pekins) and Gabrielle Johnson; eight great grandchildren, Rachel (Peyton), Ryan, Ivory, Osiris, Zephyr, Auraleigh, Jack, and Henry; and her brother, Bill Wampler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Johnson, who passed away on December 18, 2012; her son, Shawn Johnson; her brother, Tom Wampler and her sister, Patti Parsons.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 5-7 PM at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM with Pastor David Janz officiating.
Jackie will be laid to rest with her husband and son at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
