January 8, 2023 at 3:55 pm, my husband, James Anthony Graham, Sr. was welcomed into heaven.
Born June 25, 1944 in Butler, PA, he was the son of the late James Clair Graham and Rose Rita Bayer Graham. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Graham and sister, Shirley (Hank) Fowler. He was survived by his devoted sister, Barbara G. (Robert) Shaffer of Butler.
On November 19, 1962, I became his wife, Patricia (Wyant) Graham and we just celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary. We were blessed with 7 children, the late James Anthony Graham, Jr., Christopher Michael (Rita Leslie) Graham of Butler, Kathleen Joanne (Charles Jr.) Graham Blue of Texas, Theresa Anne (the late Patrick) Cress of Saxonburg, and Thomas William Graham of Butler, and our two forever babies gone too early but never forgotten.
My husband was a 12 year veteran of the Army and Army Reserves. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Butler, where he was an alter server. Not only did he serve his country with dignity but he lived his life with respect and love for all. He was a jack of all trades, he’d help anyone in need and was everyone’s best friend.
He worked at Armco for 35 years. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. We were avid golfers, bowlers, fishers, hunters and just best friends. He was a loving husband, wonderful father to our children. He was an amazing grandpa to our 18 grandchildren and our 37 great grandchildren. He lived his life for them.
He was the father to our 5 spoiled 4 legged children.
I will miss you Jim. God took your pain away, but I will carry you, my love, forever, in my heart and mark my words, we will soon be joined together for eternity. So get our house in order Babe. Be patient while I wrap up loose ends down here. When you see me next, I will have your red ribbon in my hair and your spunky girl will be back in your hands for eternity.
Friends will be received on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg.
Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted after the service.
