Running back James Conner is now officially an ex-Pittsburgh Steeler, as he signed a one-year contract with the Arizona Cardinals Tuesday. Conner was a Pro Bowl running back in 2018 for the Steelers, when he rushed for 1,470 yards and had 13 touchdowns. He has missed a total of nine games to injury over the past two seasons.
The Steelers remain with four running backs who have NFL experience. Benny Snell, Anthony McFarland and Jaylen Samuels are past draft picks of the team, and they signed free agent Kalen Ballage earlier this month.
