James E. Riemer, 69, of Butler, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at his residence.
He was born June 5, 1952 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Melvin P. Riemer and the late Elsie Mae Heasley Riemer.
James was a veteran of the United States Navy. James was the past President of the Keystone PVA (Paralyzed Veterans of America), was a volunteer at the Butler VA, he competed in the wheelchair games and was a member of the American Legion #117. He worked in the construction industry. James attended Summit Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his son, Bradley (Michele) Riemer.
Friends will be received at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. on Friday, October 15, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 East North Street, Butler, PA with Rev. Robert Edmundson officiating.
Officers and Members of the American Legion Post #117, American Legion Post #778 and VFW Post #249 will conduct military services.
A private burial will take place in the Summit Church Cemetery.
