James H. Moser, Sr., 91, of Butler, PA passed away October 22, 2024.
He was born to the late Mark D. Moser and Ella (Fritz) Moser.
James graduated Butler High School, and from there he worked on his family’s diary farm, which he then took over. Besides from being a dairy farmer, he also drove school bus for many years. He belonged to Connoquenessing Lodge No. 278 I.O.O.F. and Past Member of the Chicora Rifle Club. James was innovative and enjoyed tinkering around trying to fix things that were broken. Above all, he loved being on his farm and spending time with his family.
James is survived by his wife, Dixie L. (Larimore) Moser, whom he married June 9, 1957, four children: Rebecca (Ivan) Covert, Linda Moser, James H. Moser, Jr., and Sandra (Charles) Stephenson all of Chicora, PA, four grandchildren: Cara Stephenson, Cody Stephenson, Travis Covert, and Trisha Covert, and eleven nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Glenn D. Moser, Dean L. Moser, and Donald E. Moser, and two sisters: Doris (Moser) Dilley and Anna Mae Moser.

Family and Friends will be received Friday October 25, 2024, from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North Street, Butler, PA 16001.
Family and Friends will also be received Saturday October 26, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 P.M. with Dr. Reverend Mary Kitchen officiating.
A Private Burial will be held at North Butler Cemetery of Oakland Township.
