James “Jim” Thompson, 76 of Saxonburg passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. He was born in New Kensington, PA on December 11, 1946 to the late Paul and Elnora (Scott) Thompson. Jim served his country honorably in the US Air Force. He then went on to work in the steel industry for almost 40 years. His main passion was completely building and rebuilding award winning custom cars. He was a kind and loving man who enjoyed spending time with his family and being home working in his garage. He had passionate beliefs, a quick wit, and a sharp eye for details which can be seen in his showpiece cars. Jim was the beloved husband of Pamela (Holko) Thompson; father of Brian (Kelly) Thompson, Jamie (Joe) Cunningham; stepfather of Sara (Scott) Kiley and Bethany (Kevin) Mims; grandfather of Bailey and Lucas, and step grandfather of Andrew and Oliver. He was also expecting to be a great grandfather soon. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather and three stepsisters. All services will be held privately through SPENCER D.
