Janet Weisenstein, 83, of Butler passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. She was born in Butler on July 6, 1941, to the late Louis and Mabel (Finefrock) Hepfl. Janet attended Butler High School. She rode motorcycles with Sunset Riders Motorcycle Club and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. Janet always found the good in people and lived her life with a twinkle in her eyes. She found great joy in her family, especially grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Janet was the beloved wife of the late Victor Weisenstein, whom she married on October 14, 1964; mother of Richard “Doc” (Kathy) McKissick, David Weisenstein, Dan (Joellyn) Weisenstein, Kathy Weisenstein-Hill and Jim (Carol) Weisenstein; grandmother of David, Alexis, Lauren, and Jayne Weisenstein, Anne Aledia, Michele (Tom) Wells, Sarah (Ken) Kaib, Joe (Lauren) Wach, and Jamie Alascia; great grandmother of 10. Along with her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her siblings, Hazel Mauthe, Louis Hepfl Jr., Juanita Butters and Sherwell Hepfl. She was also preceded in death by her best friend of 60 years, Wilda Stroup, who entrusted Janet with all the secrets. Now the secrets are shared again for eternity.
