Jean Marie Matonak, 97, of Butler went home to our Lord on Friday, May 24,2024.
Born on April 8, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Rebecca Ellen Kelly and Joseph Henry Renforth.
Jean loved the Lord, the Blessed Mother and her family and her life reflected this deep love. She worked diligently to make sure that every need was met, from family members to her dedication as a business owner. She was a very active, life-long member of Saint Paul Parish in Butler and served as a Eucharistic Minister and for the RCIA program for many years. She was a devout Catholic and raised her children accordingly. She incorporated prayer, most often the rosary, into each aspect of her life.
Surviving is her brother Howard F. Renforth; her seven children, Thomas (Mary) Matonak-, Jeanne (Dick) Welch, Kathy (Corey Hudson) Matonak, Rebecca Studds, Joan Lee (Tim) Dillon, Cynthia (William) Miller and Richard (Kim) Matonak, a daughter-in-law, Debra Matonak as well as an abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
ln addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Thomas Matonak; her son Dennis Walter Matonak, her grandson, Richard Farrell Welch, II and her brother Jack Renforth.
Private Services for her family were by the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler.
