Jean “Murdock” Wikert, 92, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.
She was born August 14, 1928 in Winchester, Massachusetts to the late Malcolm W. Murdock and the late Mary (Kniffen) Murdock.
Jean was a member of St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church, and a former member of Altar Guild and a Communion Assistant. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, word search, and Jean was an avid reader, especially National Geographic Magazine. Jean loved watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Discovery ID. She worked at HP Starr Lumber as a Sales Assistant for 21 years retiring in 1988.
She is survived by one son, Jon Brunelle of CT; one daughter, Diana (Dennis) Fetterhoff of Butler, PA; one daughter in law, Geralyn Huxley Brunelle of Pittsburgh, PA; one grand-daughter, Melissa (David) Fischer of Sterling, VA; three grandsons, Scott (Rebeccah) Fetterhoff of Jacksonville, FL, Robert (Mary) Brunelle of New York City, NY,and Alexander Brunelle of Los Angeles, CA; two great grandchildren, Carrigan Fischer and Greyson Fischer; and two nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Wikert, who passed away in 1982; one son Kevin Brunelle who passed away in December 1991, one sister Carolyn Murdock Tornberg who passed away in 2004.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services.
Private burial will take place in the Glade Run Cemetery.
