Jean N. Kovach, 85, of Herman, died Tuesday morning, September 19, 2017, at the Saxony Health Center.
Born June 25, 1932 in Herman, she was a daughter of the late Sylvester “Wes” Osche and Emma Baldauf Osche.
Jean was a homemaker and previously had worked at the Spaide Shirt Factory and the Butler Area School District. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman and the Womens Auxiliary of the Herman Volunteer Fire Department.
Her family would like to extend a special thanks to the nursing staff at Saxony Health Center for their great care.
Surviving are her 3 daughters: Lisa (Jim) Jackman of Herman, Lydia McClelland of East Butler, Lynn Kovach (Dale Fry) of Petrolia.
6 grandchildren: Nicolas Keith, Dalton Jackman, Halie Jackman, Colby McClelland, Arica McClelland and Kayci McClelland.
2 great grandsons: Ryan Keith and Otto McClelland.
3 sisters: Her twin sister Jane Rhodaberger, of Cabot; Ada Skelly of Butler; Ruth Weiland of Butler.
A number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Kovach, whom she married August 28, 1965, he died January 3, 2014; also 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 East Cunningham Street, Butler, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 11:00 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. Internment will follow in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
