Jeffrey L. Rickard, 71, of Cabot, formerly of Butler, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Concordia at Cabot.
He was born July 1, 1952 in Butler, the son of the late Dean C. Rickard and D’Lauris (Jones) Rickard.
Surviving are his brother, Dennis C. (Elaine) Rickard of Saxonburg, a niece, Kellie Rickard, a nephew, David Rickard, and several cousins. Jeff was a member of First United Methodist Church. He received his BBA in Quantitative Analysis and Marketing from the University of Cincinnati. He worked for Moonlight Mushrooms prior to his employment with Specialty Minerals Inc., from which he retired in 2017. He was a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, Assn. Information Technology Professionals, Butler Victory Lodge, Butler Caravan #14, Butler Shrine Luncheon Club, PA Sheriffs Assn., United Commercial Travelers and Ducks Unlimited. He was a life member of the following organizations: Lorraine Commandery NO.87, Knights Templar, The Scottish Rite of the Valley of New Castle, Syria Temple Shriners, National Eagle Scout Assn., Butler High Alumni Assn., University of Cincinnati Alumni Assn., Butler Elks #170, Moose Lodge#64, Slovak Club #54, He was an associate member of the VFW Post 249, Butler County Law Enforcement Officers Assn., and the Brady Paul Fraternal Order of Police.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 2 PM until time of masonic service at 5 PM by Butler Victory Lodge #272 followed by funeral service with his pastor, David Janz officiating.
Private interment in the Butler County Memorial Park.
