Area residents are invited to Jennings Environmental Education Center this weekend to learn about bird tracking and celebrate the holiday season.
From 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Jennings staff will provide an outdoor feeder observation station for the 124th annual Christmas Bird Count. Participants at this free, informal event will be able to learn about observing, counting, and recording procedures.
Also on Sunday, visitors are welcome to stop by the one-room Foltz School for a Holiday Open House from noon to 4 p.m. No cost or registration is required with light refreshments and activities available for all ages. Volunteers will be able to answer any questions and assist with self-guided interactive activities.
On-site parking and restrooms will be available.
